1. What this is
oldstreets is a members-only wall for one school at a time. You get in with a school email address, a birth year, and the founder’s approval. You must be at least 13 to have an account. If you’re under 18, you’re welcome, and the rules below exist mostly to protect you.
2. The rules
- Be decent. No threats, no harassment, no sexual content, no doxxing.
- Anonymous posting is for kindness and honesty, not for targeting a person by name. Anonymous to your schoolmates does not mean anonymous to us — every post is tied to an account on our side, and bans stick.
- Don’t impersonate anyone or use someone else’s school email.
- Don’t post other people’s private information or photos they wouldn’t want posted.
- We can remove any post and any account, at any time, for any of the above. Serious threats go to school staff and, if needed, police.
3. Your posts
You own what you post. By posting you let us show it to members of your school on this site and in the nightly recap email. Delete a post and it’s gone from the wall.
4. Pro (this website only)
On oldstreets.org, Pro is $4.99 a month and does one thing: unlimited anonymous posting on the site. Until real checkout is switched on, “Get Pro” activates for free and says so. When billing goes live, it will be a clearly-disclosed recurring charge you can cancel any time.
The iPhone app is free and sells nothing. It has no purchases and no subscription, it cannot post anonymously, and there is no way to get Pro from inside it — so nothing in this section applies there. The ★ you may see next to a name in the app just marks an account that has Pro on this website.
5. No guarantees
This is a small, new service run by a student. It may go down, change, or shut off. We’re not liable for what other members post, but we do read every report.
